Made of selected high-quality Japanese white oak and lacquered with genuine
japan urushi. Natural finished on the blade part and black, embossed finished
on tsuka handle. All handmade.
Urushi is 100% natural lacquer sapped from Urushi trees, which grow in
Japan as far north as the Himalayas, and Southest Asia. Collecting
Urushi is labor intensive. Even today, Urushi has to be collected
by hand.
