Samue is originally worn by monks as semi-formal wear, but most often worn
as their fatigue uniform. "Samu" means everyday labor work as
practiced by Zen Buddhists, and "e" means clothing. The Samue
is designed for comfort and, unlike the usual Kimono, there is much more
freedom of movement. Those who feel the Japanese Kimono is priced out of
reach, find the Samue both comfortable and a good value. But the greatest
attribute of the Samue is relaxed comfortable mood it puts you in when
you wear one, that is, the Samue is an excellent easy wear for lounge or
living room.
Persimmon-Dye is commonly known as "Kakishibu" in Japan and this
"persimmon juice" has been said to be good for the insecticide
and antiseptic lacquering(especially on wood). Like the natural herb-dye,
it works great for chemical dye allergy, chronic atopy and mental relaxation,
being so easy on your skin as the same time. Also perfect as a gift.
100% persimmon-dyed cotton. All handmade to order in Japan.
